The Clinics in Shoulder and Elbow (CiSE), the official scholarly publication of the Korean Shoulder and Elbow Society (KSES), has recently made significant strides. In a notable achievement this June, CiSE was recognized in the emerging Science Citation Index (SCI), a prestigious listing that recognizes medical journals with promising potential, serving as an important step towards full inclusion in the SCI. From 2018 to 2023, the journal's annual citation count soared remarkably, increasing by 13.9 times from 27 to 375. This growth reflects a diverse authorship, with 24.2% domestic and 75.7% international publications in 2023. Over the past two years, CiSE has also seen a substantial drop in its acceptance rate from 67.3% to 39.8%, indicative of its enhanced quality. The journal's impact factor is tentatively estimated to be close to 2.0, highlighting its rapid growth in the shoulder and elbow field. Furthermore, the affiliation with the Malaysian Arthroscopy Society (MAS) has boosted CiSE's international standing. With ambitious goals to achieve Science Citation Index level, CiSE is expanding the quality and quantity of its content, transitioning from a quarterly to a bimonthly publication schedule. The KSES community is encouraged to actively support and take pride in CiSE's ongoing development, engaging with its wide range of insightful articles.
