I'm Hyun Seok Song, the 33rd President of the Korean Shoulder and Elbow Society.
Thanks to the remarkable achievement of the last annual international meeting, half of the participants in this year's annual meeting were from overseas. I deeply respect the former President, Kyu-Cheol Noh and the members of the committee for their efforts in preparing such a successful international meeting.
This achievement was only possible because of the exceptional talent and passion of our members, who shared a unified vision and unwavering enthusiasm. I believe it was the countless hours we spent together - often more than with our families - talking late into the night, that laid the foundation for this success. We will continue striving to maintain this strong sense of camaraderie and fellowship.
Clinics in Shoulder and Elbow, our official journal, will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2027. It is already indexed in PubMed, Scopus, and Emerging SCI (ESCI). Over 80% of its authors are international, and the acceptance rate is around 20%. While it is growing as a global journal, now is the time to take the final step toward being indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE). We kindly ask for your continued interest and support.
Currently, nine committees are operating in a highly organic and efficient manner. I consider them the nine hearts of our society. We will provide full support for their planning and execution.
As a member of the Korean Shoulder and Elbow Society, I am honored to have been entrusted with this important responsibility for one year. I would like to express my gratitude to the advisors, past presidents, dedicated executive members, and all members for their continued guidance and support.
Thank you.
The 33nd President of KSES
Hyun Seok Song
