Dear KSES members, colleagues and friends,
I would like to extend a warm welcome to the KSES General Assembly!
Hello everyone, my name is Prof. KC Noh (Kyu-Cheol). I am the current president of the Korean Shoulder and Elbow Society
I was inaugurated as the president of the Korean Shoulder and Elbow Society at the end of April last year, and looking back on the past year, I can say that during my tenure, I have attempted several projects for the development of the KSES, and some of them have been successful.
The number of members of the KSES has continued to increase and has grown into a large society with many lifetime members; the journal CiSE, which is the face of the society, has laid the basic foundation for globalization and is now on the verge of entering SCI after being listed in SCOPUS through the efforts of the editorial board; the number of papers presented at the spring congress has increased; and the KSES Symposium has been established as an international society with continuous growth through the efforts of the International Cooperation Committee and the Academic Committee in response to the increase in the number of participating members.
In addition, the Insurance Committee's hard work over the past 10 years to protect the rights and interests of members has laid the foundation for diversification, adequacy, and consistency of insurance codes, and the insurance fee has been greatly improved compared to conventional surgery.
The relative value of shoulder joint disease has improved dramatically, as has its severity.
We were also the first to organize a Sawbone Workshop for younger surgeons at a full member workshop.
Divided into fracture, arthroscopy, artificial joint, and ultrasound sessions, we have advanced the level of education through hands-on practice and implemented standardized education, which has received many positive responses.
Also We cordially invite you to the 32nd Annual International Congress of the Korean Shoulder and Elbow Society (KSES) on March 28th-29th, 2025 in beautiful city of Seoul.
We encourage all of our fellow surgeons from the Globe including Asia to come and join us for an outstanding experience. We will make sure to make it an experience to remember!
I would like to acknowledge and thank all the active members of the Society, including the Board of Directors, Advisory Board members, and committee chairs for their interest and hard work.
With the election of the next executive board, I am looking forward to the future development of the society. I will now serve as one of the members of the Korean Shoulder and Elbow Society and help the society develop.
