Participation in the 2026 Peri-Congress Surgical Observation Tour (PCSOT)

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Korean Shoulder and Elbow Society (KSES) for giving me the opportunity to participate in the 2026 Peri-Congress Surgical Observation Tour (PCSOT).

As a Korean orthopedic surgeon currently practicing in Shanghai, China, this program was both professionally and personally meaningful. Following the KSES Congress, I had the privilege of visiting several leading shoulder and elbow centers and learning from outstanding faculty members. I would especially like to thank Prof. Yang-Soo Kim, Prof. Hyun-Seok Song, Prof. Doo-Sup Kim, and Prof. Joo-Han Oh for their warm hospitality and for generously sharing their knowledge and experience.

Throughout the program, I was impressed by the high standards of clinical care, surgical expertise, and academic dedication demonstrated at each institution. Observing advanced shoulder arthroplasty techniques, detailed preoperative planning, and the integration of new technologies into daily practice provided valuable insights into the future direction of shoulder surgery. I was also inspired by the strong research culture and commitment to long-term patient outcome monitoring.

Beyond the educational experience, the opportunity to interact directly with internationally recognized surgeons whose work has influenced our daily practice was truly memorable. The discussions in clinics, operating rooms, and faculty dinners offered valuable perspectives and encouraged meaningful professional exchange.

I would also like to thank Dr. Young-Dae Jeon and the KSES organizing committee for their thoughtful planning and support throughout the program.

As an orthopedic surgeon working outside Korea, this program gave me a valuable opportunity to reconnect with the Korean orthopedic community and witness the remarkable progress being made in shoulder and elbow surgery in Korea.

The PCSOT was an inspiring and unforgettable experience, and I look forward to future opportunities for collaboration with KSES and its members.
