The 33rd Annual International Congress of the Korean Shoulder and Elbow Society (KSES) was successfully held at BEXCO, Busan, on March 27th and 28th, 2026. The congress welcomed 515 participants from 23 countries, including 32 internationally invited speakers, reflecting the society's continued growth as a truly global platform for shoulder and elbow surgery.
This year's congress featured a comprehensive and diverse scientific program. The event included 4 Instructional Course Lectures (ICLs), 4 Plenary Lectures, 1 Presidential Lecture, and 13 Symposiums covering a wide spectrum of clinical and scientific topics. A Young Surgeon Session provided a dedicated forum for the next generation of shoulder and elbow specialists, while 2 Resident Workshop Sessions offered hands-on learning opportunities for trainees. Rounding out the program were 26 Free Paper Sessions and 2 Award Sessions — one in Basic Science and one in Clinical Research — recognizing outstanding contributions to the field, along with various committee-led sessions that further enriched the academic exchange.
The remarkable international representation at this year's congress was a testament to KSES's expanding global influence. The presence of 32 distinguished invited speakers from across the world not only elevated the scientific quality of the program but also created invaluable opportunities for cross-cultural exchange and collaboration among professionals dedicated to advancing patient care.
In conclusion, the 33rd KSES International Congress marked another proud chapter in the society's journey. The enthusiastic participation of both domestic and international experts from 23 countries reaffirmed the dynamic momentum of KSES on the world stage. We look forward to building on this success and continuing to strengthen our global network of shoulder and elbow specialists in the years to come.
